What is the correct way to hang a horse shoe on a wall to maximise its luck? It is said thatiIf you hang it facing down all the luck drops out and if you hang it facing up bad witches sit on it and stop the luck. |

The proper way for a horse shoe to be is flat on the ground, nailed upright into a horses hoof, to stop the horse from slipping on horse manure and breaking a leg. Turn about is fair play, so why is it good luck to break a bone from a dead chicken? Seems really a lame thing to do. EH?
