I want the songs to be picked by everyone here on the forums. To do this, I would like everyone to pm me an artist and song that has influenced them in some way in the last few months. Something special. I will collect all the songs. And create a torrent file with the playlist. I'd like to do this every few months. So if you guys like the idea just send me the songs. If not, it was a stupid idea and i'll scrap it :p

It's a great idea I hope everyone participates I will include the link to this thread in the next mass email at the end of this month! My pick would be by the band "In This Moment" and the song is "Into The Light" I actually posted the song on here with lyrics youtube style but no one has commented on it yet... http://stecnet.ca/topic/7737388/1/ It's a tear jerker of a song and has very special meaning to me because I think of my Grandmother who passed away just this past Christmas Eve when I listen to it! I can up the song to a file host if you don't have it Shadow but I suggest you download their cd if ya don't have it because the cd is freaking awesome!

I could create an auto dj, and instead of having to download the whole list, you could just listen to them being played in a random order. StEC could add a redirect to it here and it could be called Stecnet Radio? Though now she needs a favor, something about her ex that still bothers her apparently so I might be asked to do something about it like get rid of him. So well I'd like to have a mixed tape with the song on there encase something happens like I might be laying on the ground with handcuffs or something.. Just kidding but anyway I'm all for having a mix type.. lol

I just would not want to be DJ'ing live all the time I would like to just setup a nice big playlist and let it do it's thing! Zetaboards lets me create HTML web pages built right into the forum so a station could be integrated right into this site somehow without a member having to leave the forum.

I would love to be able to say yes to that, but A music collection that big would take up too much space on the server. ( with Auto DJ the songs are stored on the server hard drive.) I could manage a lot of music, but not 145 gig. If you could make a folder of your Fave tunes out of your collection we could ftp that to the server and have that as the integrated station. How about 30 gig? Then when you were live dj'ing you could play from your whole collection, and auto dj would play after you are done... randomly from the 30 gig of stored tunes. ....edit.....uploaded the template.... http://www.tryingsomething.z-hosting.info/Stecnetradio/index.php This template can be downloaded from: http://www.whmsonic.com/download.php?p=free (the one on the right is what you want) I am not sure how you would integrate this into the forum, but why I suggest this one is it has all the music player choices in it. If you can use some parts of it that would be cool, or if you can set up another template and point it to the player that would be great as well. I am fine with any look to it and this one can be customized. But if you have another template that would work better we could try that. Ideally I agree it would work best if it opened in another window that you minimize, then listen to the music while you are posting.
