It seems like we been waiting ages for this new forum but it's finally here and lots changed infact just about everything has changed except for our posts and members were all still here but everything is new! This forum is leaps and bounds more advanced and user friendly then our old Invisionfree forum and to help educate you all on what's new and what's different please read on.... NEW Features Forum - It's a completely NEW Forum from the ground up and is much faster than before! Blogs - We once again have Blogs which you can create by going to your profile and you can read other members blogs by going to their profiles! Skin Selector - If you don't like our very colourful Vector'd default theme you can select from other skins available and more will slowly be added! See screenshot... Profiles - We now have custom profiles that you can fill out and we can always add more content to them! We can even make some of the custom profile sections like our "gender" and "moods" show up in our mini profiles in posts! See Screenshot... BBCode - We have a completely new BBCode system that is very extensive and will make it easy to customize posts and add new content not possible before see HERE! Web Pages - I can now create and add completely new web pages to the forum like the "Donation" and "Video of the Day" pages I created in the navigation bar! Portal - We now have a fully customizable web Portal that will eventually have lots of content added to it. Search - We now have a fully integrated and working Search feature to find anything posted on this forum! Tags - Speaking of searching to make it even easier to find specific topics you can now add tags to your topics to make it easy for people to find topics based on related tags. You add tags just under your topic title when making your post, see screenshot... Top 10 Posters Today - It was a very loved feature from way back in the past that was removed from the Invisionfree forums for some reason but now it's back and it always encourages people to post more because it brings out the competitive spirit in us all lol! You can always check to see how your staking up against other members posting in the Daily Top 10 Posters. Groups - Though I have yet to really figure this one out yet we now have joinable groups and you can make them open membership or private and the person that creates the group is automatically the group admin. This feature is accessed through your profile or when editing your preferences. Avatar Galleries - We now have avatar galleries and more custom ones to come no more reason to have nothing for an avatar! Unlimited Storage - Yes we now have unlimited storage which rocks the only problem is were limited to a very tiny 200kb per file upload. So feel free to upload small photos in posts with the attachment system but keep in mind they show up as clickable links rather than a thumbnail so I still encourage you to use a free image host like Photobucket or built in Imageshack photo uploader I added! In-line Preview - We now have an in-line preview system to see your post without actually refreshing to make sure it looks good before you hit the post now button! Online/Offline - We now know if other members are online or offline just by looking in their mini profile in posts under their avatars. See screenshots... Post Area Size - Need to make your post area bigger to see all of your long ass post your making? Simple click the little + button in the bottom right corner of your text area or click the - button to make it smaller. See screenshot... Collapsible Forums - Not sure how often this will be used but you can now collapse complete sections that may not be of interest to you. You simply click the little circle on the far right hand side you see in each section title. See screenshots... BEFORE AFTER CHANGES HTML - You can no longer use the [doHTML] tag infact HTML can no longer be posted on the forum which kinda sucks but I understand the security reasons behind this. Videos - You can still post video's you just need to use the new [flash] tag see the full BBCode List I mentioned earlier and look for the YouTube video for the example of how you post videos, it's very simple! Spoliers - Instead of masking text from members that may contain spoilers it's now hidden via a very sexy drop open box that opens up when clicked on and again see our BBCode List to see how you do this. Today's Posts - This is what we used to call Today's Active Topics and it can be found near the bottom right of the forum when on the main forum index. Click it to see all the days active topics so you don't miss a thing.... this is the link http://s4.zetaboards.com/Stecs_Board/search/?c=5! See screenshot... Preferences & PM's - This is where you go to edit your profile and change any settings to do with the forum it's now in an easy to use drop down menu and it can be found in the very top right corner of the forum where you will also find your PM Inbox! See screenshot.... Active Users List - Is not actually listed it's kind of hidden but if you want to snoop to see where members are in the forum you click HERE. See screenshot, the part circled in blue is actually a link... Track Topic - This handy dandy feature to track topics of interest so your emailed when new replies have been made has been put in a very odd place and is easy to miss so click the thumbnail to see the screenshot of just where it is.... Polls - Adding a poll is just as easy actually much easier and it's more sexy now it's just in a new location that you need to get used to. It's actually a pop open link you see when making your post, see & click the thumbnail screenshot... Pm Alerts - You can click on your PM System Settings and check the box to Display an alert whenever you receive a new PM! PM Tracking - You can still track Private Messages to make sure they were read. You have to check the little box under the text body when making your message. See screenshot... So I'm sure I will think of more stuff I forgot to mention but if you discover something new & cool or odd and broken please post about it! Hmmmm one thing I don't like about this new forum is the "Todays Posts" is not a rolling 24 hour thing like on the old forum....now if you come here right at the stroke of 11pm Eastern and click to see all the days active topics you will see nothing which may make people think the forum is dead even though a couple minutes ago there was almost 3 pages of active topics! lol Kinda lame!

Gold Member Posts: 3,966 Group: Member Member #129 Joined: January 6, 2005	Another strange thing to add to your list would be that the link you sent me in an E mail worked fine the first time I tried it, and I posted my "Great Day" post. When I tried it again to check on comments to my post, it refused to work, as it did on subsequent attempts. Today it worked once again. Now how do I find the post I made?

Well the link stopped working because our forum was down for a little bit due to DNS issues so that's probably why you could not get here but to find the post you made click on your name that will take you to your profile then you will see a drop down menu named "Profile Options" hover over it and pick the option titled "List Members Posts" and there ya go!
